Eternal Springtime is more than a painting—it’s a window into a moment of calm and clarity, much like the moments Thom himself treasured during his busy days. He often made time to step outside, find a sunny spot, and quietly read his Bible or a favorite book. These short “mini-vacations” became his time to reflect, recharge, and reconnect with what mattered most.
This artwork captures that exact spirit—a peaceful haven where one can pause, even briefly, and simply be. As you take in Eternal Springtime, it’s easy to imagine the scent of fresh lilies in the air and the warmth of sunlight on a weathered bench. Every brushstroke speaks of serenity, of renewal, and of the hope that springtime so beautifully represents.
The daylily, featured prominently in this piece, is scientifically named Hemerocallis—from the Greek words for “beauty” and “day.” Fittingly, each bloom lasts only a day, yet the plant continues to blossom anew for weeks, reminding us of the promise and beauty found in each new beginning. Thom intentionally filled the scene with these vibrant flowers, a symbol of ongoing grace and daily renewal.
Poignantly, Eternal Springtime was the final painting Thom worked on, discovered resting on his beloved easel. We believe he would be deeply moved to know this artwork brings peace and inspiration to others—encouraging you, too, to carve out a few quiet moments for reflection amid life’s busyness.
May Eternal Springtime serve as your gentle reminder to find the sunshine, breathe deeply, and embrace the beauty of the present moment.
